Turnovers are a big deal in high school basketball. As we've discussed before on this blog, they have a higher correlation to win percentage than any other statistical factor at this level of the game. As a coach, you should stress the importance of staying under 17 turnovers in a game to your team. We saw the highest spike in win percentage in teams that stayed below this key benchmark. Furthermore, every turnover your team commits tends to lower your win expectancy by around 1.0% on average. Take a look at the graphic below to put things in perspective. And remember - take care of the ball this season! Your win column will thank you.Like this post? Make sure you share it with a friend using the social icons.
